Friday Night Youth Club - currently still suspended

CURRENTLY STILL SUSPENDED

Friday Night Youth Club (FNYC) is open to any young person aged 11-15 (school years 71-10).  The club runs from 7:30pm to 9pm in term time at Connaught Junior School in Bagshot.

The club offers a safe space for young people to socialise, be active, experience new things, do things for other people, have a laugh and talk about things that matter to them.   These promote positive wellbeing2.  There's normally some combination of football, pool, table tennis, Xbox, Lego, nail painting, board games and cards going, plus lots of special activities like cooking, talks about mental health, pumpkin carving, making Christmas gifts etc.  There is also a tuck shop and free squash, water and fruit.

The club is run by a team of volunteers who are all DBS checked and have a range of skills and interests to engage with and support young people.

We are sometimes able to offer volunteering opportunities for young people working towards their Duke of Edinburgh award and are particularly keen to hear from people working on their Gold award.

We have to operate a waiting list so if you’d like to come along please email us to see if there is space or be added to the waiting list.   To join or for more information please contact Carolyn by email at fnyc@saintannebagshot.org.uk or via the form below.

We are always on the look out for new volunteers to join the team.  If you are interested, then please get in contact for a chat.

1 If we have space, we invite young people in year 6 to join after the Easter holidays.
