Faithfull Fellas
(a.k.a. the men’s group)
Our Faithful Fella's group provides an inclusive, supportive and friendly environment in which strangers can become friends, fun can be had, worries can be shared and faith explored. We mostly meet as a men’s group, but also have regular events to which we invite all members of the community. Our group seeks to be a place for those seeking fellowship in the broader Christian context of our church and local community. It provides an opportunity for people across all sections of society to connect in a friendly and supportive environment and as such it is an important part of how we understand our commitment to being an Inclusive Church: Everybody is welcome – saints and sinners - nobody is judged or turned away but embraced and loved.
As we go into Autumn the Faithful Fellas have a program of events planned.
Saturday 6th September we have or next breakfast. Andy’s brother in law will talking to us about the Harlequins Rugby Club’s search over the years for a permanent home. Meeting at the usual time of 8.30 for a 9.00 breakfast.
Saturday 4th October we will have our usual breakfast. Annie Bonella will be giving us a talk on some aspect of wine and its appreciation. More details nearer the time.
Friday 10th October. We are arranging an evening at the races at Kempton Park. First race 4.12 last race 8.15 . We will be car sharing so it will be good to know numbers in advance and also those who may be able to drive to the event. Food and refreshments are available at the venue and we will pay on the door for entry.
Saturday 1st November. Our regular breakfast slot of the first Saturday in the month when Charles will be talking about the Iranian Embassy siege.
Saturday 15th November Visit to Farnborough Abbey. This will again be car sharing event so it will be good to know numbers in advance. The tour starts at 3.00pm. Meet promptly at the Abbey gates at 2.45. Tour ends in the Abbey shop where a £7 donation will be much appreciated.
All are welcome, especially on the days when we go on visits. Bring a friend or neighbour.
