We are delighted to confirm that the licensing service for our new vicar, the Revd Ian Gallagher, will take place on Monday 30th November 2026, probably at 7.30pm (time to be confirmed).

Please do put the date in your diaries. This will be a very special occasion in the life of St Anne's as we formally welcome Ian and begin a new chapter together. We will share further details nearer the time.

As we look forward to welcoming him, Ian continues to serve in his current parish over the coming months. We would therefore ask everyone to respect his privacy and give him the space to conclude his present ministry well before he joins us at St Anne's.

In the meantime, please continue to hold Ian, his current parish and St Anne's in your prayers during this time of transition.

The churchwardens, Andy and Carolyn, are delighted to be able to share the following announcement, from the Cabinet Office, with all the Friends of St Anne's

The Lord Chancellor is delighted to announce that the Revd Ian Gallagher has been appointed as Vicar at Bagshot, subject to medical clearance. He is currently Vicar at St James with St Barnabas in Enfield and we are hoping that Ian might be able to move in during November, but details are yet to be confirmed.

Ian says: 'After having served in three very different environments-as a curate in Liverpool, on secondment as interim rector with the Episcopalians in Frankfurt, and latterly as a vicar in northernmost London-what a profound blessing it is, the prospect of coming to Bagshot to be the next incumbent of St Anne's. I come to you with a deep desire to bring God's word in Scripture closer to people's lives, a great love of engaging with the young and the young-at-heart, and a firm commitment, alongside Carolyn and Andy the churchwardens, to help the people of St Anne's-in Christ's strength, prayerfully and unafraid-meet the challenges of the day and of our time.'

Please pray for Ian as he prepares to move.
