As we are wrapping and moving so many things which carry great sentimental value, we have been reflecting on how wonderful the farewell celebration had been that you put on for us - and so, Jen and I really wanted to take the opportunity to say a big thank you to you all for that most wonderful day and the wonderful gift you gave us.

It will be quite a daunting thing to start all over again in a new place, with people we don’t know and challenges we can’t begin to imagine yet. But that is the nature of our vocation and the reality of all our journeys with God. It will also be the reality for the person God is calling to come to journey with you all into the future. But we both know that you will welcome and embrace them in the same way you have made us feel so welcome in your midst - they will indeed be very lucky to become part of such a warm, friendly and welcoming community!

As we now finally and physically leave Bagshot we wanted to ask you to keep us in your prayers over the coming months as we negotiate the many new situations we will encounter. And, of course, we will do the same for you!

Lastly, it goes without saying that we would be delighted to see as many of you as are free for our licensing service on 13th October at 7.30pm at St. Mary’s Datchet.
