Dear all,

This is a very heartfelt thank you from me to all who have done so much to make Christmas at St Anne's so special. Being in vacancy this Christmas was always going to add an extra level of challenge but I really wasn't planning on being ill and out of action myself for so much of it. 

As aways, I would like to thank those who have worked so hard behind the scenes to decorate the church, light candles, tidy up, serve refreshments, taken care of odd jobs around the place, and generally make this such a beautiful environment to worship in; and those who have welcomed, served, read, sound-desked, played, and sung to make our worship services happen. It is noticed and enormously appreciated.

I owe a special debt of thanks though to Derrick, Bronwen and Carolyn, who have been so willing and generous in stepping up to do so much more than they had planned to in leading a number of services when I've not been able to. It has been such a blessing to have such capable and gracious people who have just made things happen. 

Finally I would also like to thank all of you for your words of concern and well wishes. Whilst I'm still not fully better yet I will continue to rest up after Christmas, and I look forward to discovering whatever God has in store for us together in 2026.
