Deanery Celebration month at St Barbara's

A message below from St Barbara's church:

Dear Friends,

On Palm Sunday, 29th March of this year, St Barbara's Church will celebrate its 125th anniversary, along with the consecration and rededication of the church and the opening of the new church hall. As part of this celebration, we will host a month-long series of events, including a Deanery Worship Evening on March 1st at 6 PM.

We cordially invite you and representatives from your congregation to join us in commemorating this significant milestone within our deanery. Details of the event can be found on the enclosed card.

Originally an army garrison church, St Barbara's has now become home to a lively and thriving congregation. The church has been beautifully renovated, and a new hall has been constructed.

As you know, on the 1st January 2025, Deepcut was established as a new parish in the Church of England, with St Barbara's serving as its worship centre. Our mission is to be a Christ-Centred, and Mission-Shaped church, with "Connect, Grow & Serve" as our core priorities.

As a church, we are eager to celebrate and give glory to God for these remarkable 125 years of history—honouring the past, engaging with the present, and investing in the future.

We sincerely hope that you will accept our invitation. Please inform the office of your intention to attend or if you must decline.

On behalf of all members of the Church,

Yours in His service,

Revd Canon Daniel Natnael (Vicar)
