Most members of the congregation will have seen, and we hope tried, the pew cushion samples that have been in church for the last several weeks.

The PCC has decided that it would like to make our services 

and other events much more comfortable by installing this type of cushion in as many of the pews as possible. We are sure that this will be well-received after sitting on those hard benches! In order to do this, we are looking for financial help from our congregation.

The cost of cushion for pews in the nave and the chancel (choir) will be around £5,000. This amount is too great to be covered entirely from existing church funds and so we hope that members of our community will feel able to make their own individual contributions. We are pleased to report that we already have some significant donations already promised, and will need to reach a minimum of £2,000 in donations before we place the order. Whilst we are confident of reaching this amount, if we do not do so then donations will be be held for other fabric improvements (as will any donations in excess of the total cost of the cushions).
