What it means to be a Christian.

Christian life is lived in relationship with God through Jesus Christ, and in common with other Christians in the church seeking to deepen that relationship and to follow the way that Jesus taught.

For Christians God is understood and known as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

…Father… God is love, caring for creation and for every human being as God's beloved child.

…Son… God is as he has revealed himself to be in the historical person of Jesus Christ. Jesus' life, death and resurrection holds the key to knowing and loving God, and to making sense of life, before and after death.

…and Holy Spirit… God is alive, loving and active today, inspiring faith, justice and truth, sustaining the life of the world, giving spiritual gifts to the church and bearing his spiritual fruit in the world - changed lives and a transformed society.

Bble Reading Fellowship

BRF is a Christian charity committed to resourcing the spiritual journey of adults and children alike. For adults, BRF publishes Bible reading notes and books and offers an annual programme of quiet days and retreats.

Three styles of Bible reading notes are available:
New Daylight: offers a fresh devotional approach to Bible reading. It contains a Bible passage, a comment and a short prayer or reflection for each day. It is also available in large print and on cassette for the visually impaired.
Guidelines: offers in-depth study and commentary covering biblical books and themes. It is divided into daily readings arranged in weekly units. Each section includes an introduction  and points for thought and prayer.
Day by Day with God: offers Bible reading notes specifically written for women. All the contributors are women and they write from a woman's perspective.

The notes are published 3 times a year (starting on 01 Jan, May and Sept) and currently cost £3.80 each (more for the large print version).
